INTELLIGENT DESIGN (2012)
For this sophomore record, Intelligent Design, Jay D Clark worked with established Philly-based musicians for three distinct sessions that produced three songs each. The first session was in August of 2011 at Retro City Studios in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. Musicians included Jay D Clark on acoustic rhythm guitar, Mark Carson (Three Legged Fox) on bass, Ray Pirre (Raggamuffins, Cultureal) on lead electric guitar & John L Langsford III (McRad) on drums. Adam Flicker (The Brakes, Cultureal) on piano and keyboards & Xande Cruz on percussion came through in September to add to engineer Ray Pirre's mix. The songs Crushing, Legalize It Now and Open Eyes were recorded this way.
The second session occurred in May of 2012 at the home studio of producer/musician Tony Flagiello. This live session included Jay D Clark on acoustic rhythm guitar, Ray Pirre on electric lead guitar Jay Davidson (Sly & Robbie, Maxi Priest), Jason Fraticelli (Matisyahu, Marco Benevento), co-producer and engineer Tony Flagiello (Fathead) on drums. Dreadie Girl, Sweet Touch and We Are One were recorded this way.
The third session was stretched over several days in August again at the home studio of co-producer/musician Tony Flagiello. Chuck Treece played bass, electric guitar, keys and co-wrote and co-produced three tracks: Most High, Classic & the title track Intelligent Design.
Some post-production editing and sweetening was done at Rotation Records in Norristown, PA under the work of engineer Tom Jensen.

FALL OF THE CITY (2008)
Working in the east coast film, video, music, and art scene for years, Jay D Clark amassed a wide-ranging repertoire of multi-media skills. For four years, Jay D managed Media Bureau, a highly-touted underground multi-media production facility and gallery in Philadelphia. There, through King Britt, he met the legendary Chuck Treece, a groundbreaking pro skater and prolific studio and touring musician, while working on his movie project Order of the Quest. Treece, who has worked with acts like The Roots, G Love, Pearl Jam, Bad Brains, McRad, Slightly Stoopid, Billy Joel, Sting, Busta Rhymes, Mike Pinto, The Movement and others, co-produced, engineered and cut almost all musical tracks on Clark’s first record Fall of the City.
